Commercial use for QIP
The QIP-IRC is currently investigating the practical and commercial uses for QIP and quantum computing. Anyone with a view on this subject is invited to e-mail Ian Howlett at ian.howlett@sbs.ox.ac.uk

The project, undertaken with the Said Business School, University of Oxford, aims to answer the following questions:
- In the field of Quantum Information Processing, who will buy what, when, and at what price?
- What are the commercial applications of QIP?
- Which QIP products should be developed, and in what order?
- What are the quickest wins through QIP spin-off technologies?
- What value is created for the UK Government and the DTI when investing in this sector? E.g. could there be synergies with other fields of research, allowing cross-funding opportunities?
