Wolfson Merit Award: Prof M B Plenio (Imperial)
Professor Martin Plenio (Imperial College, London) has been awarded a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award.

The award recognizes his work in quantum information science and in particular his work on theoretical and practical aspects of quantum entanglement. The award also recognizes his active engagement and leadership in various large scale collaborative research projects in the UK and Europe and his efforts to establish a quantum information science research group in the interdisciplinary Institute for Mathematical Sciences at Imperial College.
