QIP IRC New opportunities
New awards.
Do you have a great idea for a new research project in Quantum Information Processing?
QIP IRC is proposing to offer a small number of awards to very promising early stage researchers who wish to pursue a new research project at a UK institution. The project must lie within the theme of QIP IRC, which is controlled entanglement combined with controlled transfer of quantum information between static qubits and propagating qubits.
We wish to hear from exceptional researchers who have a good first degree and will have completed a doctorate (by the start date) in a physical science or relevant discipline and have a great idea for a project that they would like to pursue. Research proposals should be relevant to the QIP IRC objectives and supported by a host institution.
The awards are expected to start on or before 1st April 2008 and may be for up to 2 years salary at the appropriate scale point at the host institution. A contribution to travel expenses and consumables may be requested in the application.
Download the application form and guide for applicants from this website or contact niamh.mcentee@materials.ox.ac.uk for more information.
